This is an early BETA of the UltimaEdit application for
windows. The old version 2.0 was written many many years
ago with a now defunct graphics library written for DOS.
After adding download monitors to my download pages I saw
that the application is still being used. So I fired up the
old 2.0 version to have a look at it. To my disappointment
the application did not seem to work well with Windows 2000.

So I took the old code base and ported it to windows. I designed
the interface to look identical to the old DOS version.

The application seems to run very well. For now please read
the readme.txt file from Version 2.0 that you can get from
the webpage, this should cover 99% of the program's functionality.

The only thing that is really different is that byte labels in
the interface are now stored in an XML file instead of an INI
file. So if you click on 'Create XML' a XML file will be
created in the main program directory that you can edit with
a text editor to change the names displayed on the interface.
This functionality is used in the event that you discover what
one of the 'unknown' bytes does and you want to label it. If
the labels get screwed up, just delete the XML file and recreate
it...

Have fun...
As always the application is freeware..

Let me know of any bugs...
