Recently I’ve noticed a growing trend in my internet search results. 90% of the good answers I find to technical questions come from blog posts, or the discussion comments that follow. Sure I get really good info from Wikipedia and StackOverflow, and other sites designed to gather information, but there is a lot of good info in one off blog posts scattered around the net. So in the spirit of Arlo Guthrie: “we decided one big pile is better than two little piles, and rather than bring that one up we decided to throw our’s down.”
I find fixes to problems all the time and I don’t really ever write them down or share them with anybody, so this is an effort to consolidate stuff in one place in the hopes that some other person doing a search for the solution to some annoying problem lands on this blog and can get some benefit from it.. I’ll probably offer the occasional rant, that probably can’t be helped
